Working with Young People

We work with children and young people across Anglesey and Gwynedd within schools, colleges and in the community.

We provide the following services:

Time to Talk

Our Time to Talk service provides the opportunity for children and young people to talk about mental health, to get information and one-to-one confidential support. Time to Talk is run in schools and colleges throughout Anglesey and Gwynedd as well as in local community venues, and utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness tools and techniques to enable children and young people to take control of their lives for themselves.

Time to Talk sessions for children and young people will be held in the following community venues during June 2017:

Monday 05/06/2017 – JE O’Toole Centre Holyhead 1pm-5pm

Tuesday 15/06/2017 – Storiel, Bangor 12pm-5pm

Tuesday 20/06/2017 – Fire station, Dolgellau 10am-2pm

Coping With Life

We run five and six week self-management courses for young people aged 14-18 in the community. We also run courses in partnership with local schools and colleges throughout Anglesey and Gwynedd. The courses are run within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework which looks at the relationship between how our thoughts affect our emotions and feelings, which then affects our behaviour. Some courses also incorporate particular mindfulness practices. The courses we are currently running are Anxiety Management and Building Self Esteem.
